This years Shockfest featured many celebrities including Bill Oberst Jr., Devanny Pinn and of course the great horror director Eli Roth (who recieved the "Shocking Filmmaker of The Decade Award"). Filmmaker G.R. Claveria Is the Founder of the Shockfest Film Festival Held on November 18 and 19, 2011 at Raleigh Studios and Hard Rock Café of Hollywood

Dawna Lee Heising, Astraes Locke and John Cox covered the 2011 Shockfest Film Festival on Friday, November 18 and Saturday, November 19, 2011 at Raleigh Studios in Los Angeles, CA for Seth Metoyer’s MoreHorror.com. Films screened at this year's festival included the Opening Nightmare Sneak Peak of Clive Barker's “The Sickness: Bong of the Dead”, with its United States Premiere; the documentary “The Houses that October Built”, with the film’s World Premiere; Summer of Massacre, which also had its World Premiere; and the West Coast Premiere of “Down the Road”, which stars horror legend Clint Howard.

Eli Roth was honored for his decade of brilliant and shocking films -– as an actor, writer, director, and producer of Cabin Fever and Hostel I & II, as an actor in Quentin Tarentino’s Inglourious Bastards and, most recently, as producer of The Last Exorcism. Robert “Corpsy” Rhine (Girls and Corpses Magazine’s Deaditor-In-Chief) presented Roth with the Golden Spiked Head at Shockfest’s closing ceremonies at the Hollywood Hard Rock Café on November 19, 2011. The Eli Roth Shocking Filmmaker of the Year Award will be presented annually at The Shockfest Film Festival to horror filmmakers who most deserve this shocking honor. Erin Marie Hogan was named Miss Shockfest 2011.

Festival Director G. R. Claveria describes Shockfest as, ”The Ultimate Horror Shock Film Festival, a multimedia extravaganza which brings together horror aficionados and fans alike with premier status indie films from all over the world along with a haunted house, dinner theater and the Miss Shockfest pageant.” Claveria is also the writer, producer, and director of FemVamp.Com; an independent web series that keeps him busy, which stars the latest Miss Shockfest competition winner and Fangoria creator Kerry O'Quinn.
