Fangoria has opened their voting for 8 horror films that have the chance to get some big screen attention.

From now through July 19 is your opportunity to make your vote "be heard" in FANGORIA’S FrightFest and allow one of eight new releases the opportunity to see theatrical screenings.

If you are sick of the recent Hollywood remakes and rehashed films packing the theaters, now’s your chance to change that by picking an "underdog" horror film that you want to see on the big screen!

To cast your vote, simply go here, watch the movie trailers and rate the film you like the best.

The entire film series is also previewed in the 30-minute special '8 FANGORIA FRIGHTS' (available free on Time Warner, Comcast, Cablevision, Verizon FIOS and other cable systems; check with your provider), hosted by CABIN FEVER star Cerina Vincent and featuring interviews with many of the eight films’ directors, clips and featurettes. The program can be found by accessing your On Demand menu.

The movies that you can vote on include: James Isaac's "Pig Hunt", Jaume Balagueró's "Fragile", Steven Hentges' "Hunger", Dean Francis' "Road Train", Darin Scott's "Dark House" (one of my favorite's in the campaign), Martin Weisz' "Grimm Love", Elio Quiroga's "No-Do: The Beckoning", and finally Michael Staininger's "Ligeia".
