Our sources attending the San Diego Comic-Con have a great report about the upcoming Adam Green release of Hatchet II.

Dark Sky Films are stating that they plan to have the film released in theaters entirely in its UNRATED format. Green told the audience at the convention that the MPAA has (yet again) asked that entire scenes be removed from the movie because they are too violent! It seems however that won't be a factor anymore since an unnamed theater chain has been confirmed to allow the entire version to run in theaters this coming October.

As far as upcoming sequels for Hatchet go, Green has continued to state that he's put all of his creative energy into making part II what it is. He will probably pass the directors hat off to another capable person and will be involved, but he's not sure what that capacity will entail.

Brief Movie Synopsis

"Hatchet II follows Marybeth (Danielle Harris) as she escapes from the clutches of Victor Crowley (Kane Hodder), learns the truth about his curse, and heads back into the haunted New Orleans swamp to seek revenge for her family and kill Victor Crowley once and for all."
