Megan Fox out of Transformers III, Horror Fans ponder Jennifer's Body II
With the recent news about Megan Fox leaving the Transformers franchise, many fans are wondering what's next for the sexy bombshell actress.
Around the horror movie communities, there are some people that think a Jennifer's Body II would be a grand idea. Not because they necessarily want to see that particular movie made, but, many viewers felt ripped off by the lack of full frontal flesh that Fox failed to display in the original horror flick Jennifer's Body.
Over on Facebook, Horror Writer and Movie Critic Thomas Carpenter posed the question: "Since Megan Fox is out of Transformers III, does that mean she is going to do Jennifer's Body II?". One reader responded to that saying "I hope so,this time show those fun bags!".
Echoing the same sentiment over on the More Horror Twitter page , @MoreHorror posted a comment: "So, since Megan Fox is out of Transformers 3, does that mean she will be doing Jennifer's Body II (She owes us all a breast shot)". In response, @wiccanz said "yeah jennifers body was just a d*ck tease. Almost there and......nothing". Then, @marixa added "hope so shes so *ucking hot".
Unfortunately, we doubt that will happen. Fox seems to be rather "private" about showing her "naughty" skin to the public. As a matter of fact, last year Fox considered legal action when an acquaintance released candid photos of her from the horror film “Jennifer’s Body.”
Paramount ad for Horror Flick 'Carriers' Banned by Advertising Standards Authority
The ASA (Advertising Standards Authority) has for the first time removed a banner ad for a horror movie trailer shown exclusively on a VOD (Video on Demand) service.
The banned ad was for the 2009 horror movie trailer 'Carriers', featuring Star Trek heart throb Chris Pine (James T. Kirk) by Paramount Pictures. The ad was recently displayed on the ITV Player VOD service before and during 'The X Factor' finale last year (which apparently was still broadcasting via the VOD service).
The movie clip featured images of body bags piled up and dead people with decaying skin that come back to life. As the images flicker on the the screen, a voice-over says, "The sick are already dead, avoid populated areas at all cost. You come into contact with other people - assume they have it."
It's reported that one concerned viewer complained that the ad was "frightening" and inappropriate for display during a family program which could be seen by impressionable children.
Marilyn Manson and Evan Rachel Wood to star in 'Splatter Sisters' Horror Film

by Thomas Carpenter l MoreHorror.com
Manson and Wood will reportedly be bringing their uniquely creative minds to the new horror movie titled "Splatter Sisters".
The movie is being billed as a 'Sexploitation Serial Killer, Slasher Road Movie, circa 1989'. Let's hope it's not just a rehash of the 1994 violent induced Natural Born Killers.
The screenplay was written by Adam Lough, who hopes the movie will create a new sub-genre called "Skinmax Cinema". The films would be based on TV Movies that were previously released to cable only.
When asked about Lough as Screenwriter, Producer Edward Pressman stated that "Lough's unique talent and energy will make Splatter Sisters a very special and markedly commercial film."
Director David Gordon Green is set to helm the splatter fest and said this about the dating duo; "This is a role Marilyn Manson was born to play and with Evan bringing dramatic gravity to the ensemble, I have no doubt this will take the horror genre to a new level."
Rachael Evan Wood who starred in "Running With Scissors", "Thirteen" and "The Wrestler", among others, has been dating Marilyn Manson since 2007 following his break up with Dita Von Teese.
Romero to Remake Splatter Film 'Deep Red'
George A. Romero is reportedly in advanced negotiations to helm a stereoscopic 3D remake in English of Argento's cult classic "Deep Red", according to sources.
The 1975 "Deep Red," about a string of supernatural splatter murders, is considered Argento's gem giallo and the film that established his international standing. The remake is being set up as an Italo-Canadian co-production by Italian producer Claudio Argento via his Opera Film shingle. Robbie Little's 'The Little Company' is reportedly preselling the pic in Cannes.
Claudio Argento, who is Dario's brother and regular producer, has penned the screenplay for Romero's remake. The plan is to start shooting as early as this fall in Canada.
Dario Argento and George Romero collaborated on the Zombie cult classic "Dawn of the Dead," on which he has producer credit, and they also co-directed "Two Evil Eyes" in 1990. There is no report staing that Dario Argento will be involved in Romero's remake. It appears Romero get's free reign on this film.

Psycho 50th Anniversary Edition on Blu-ray

You can own the movie that defined a genre just in time for Halloween on October 19, 2010. Alfred Hitchcock's Masterpiece will debut on Blu-ray(TM) Hi-Def and will feature 5.1 Surround Sound for the first time ever.
PRnewswire released the following statement about this exciting Psycho movie release. Hailed as one of the most influential suspense movies of its time, Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho had a profound effect on how future filmmakers made movies and shaped audience expectations for generations to come. To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of one of Universal Studios' most treasured and prestigious films, Psycho will debut for the first time ever on Blu-ray™ on October 19, 2010. Fans can now enjoy a superior quality, hi-def experience when viewing this re-mastered classic. Psycho will also be honored during its landmark anniversary by the esteemed 2010 Festival De Cannes. Chosen as a Cannes Classic Selection, the film will be recognized as a restored masterwork from the past.
Meticulously restored for perfect digital picture and the purest DTS HD 5.1 digital sound, the Psycho 50th Anniversary Edition takes audiences on a thrilling journey as an unsuspecting victim (Janet Leigh, The Manchurian Candidate, Bye Bye Birdie) visits the Bates Motel and falls prey to one of the silver screen's most notorious psychopaths – Norman Bates (Anthony Perkins, Murder on the Orient Express, Les Miserables). Featuring one of the most iconic scenes in film history – the infamous "shower scene" – Psycho continues to terrify audiences today as much as it did half a century ago.
The Psycho 50th Anniversary Edition is packed with extras, including behind-the-scenes bonus features, documentaries, audio interviews and an in-depth look at the re-mastering process. Universal Studios BluWave Audio (Universal's in-house post production sound facility) started the re-mastering process with the film's previously preserved and restored soundtrack to create a new 5.1 mix. BluWave then contracted Audionamix, a Paris-based audio technology company, to split the original mono music source into quasi-orchestral tracks. Audionamix, a leader in soundtrack separation, then applied their breakthrough proprietary technology enabling BluWave to create a discrete 5.1 split music mix.
BluWave's creative talent gathered the original sound effects from the Studios' extensive effects library and, using these source materials, created a 5.1 up-mix to bring Psycho's soundtrack up to the expectations of contemporary audiences while maintaining the original integrity of the filmmaker's vision.
Psycho's mono audio track will also be available for viewers who want to experience the film in its original form on its golden anniversary. This cinematic achievement from the Master of Suspense is an essential addition to every movie lover's library.
