Tinsman Road is better than I expected and better than most of the endless found-footage movies that followed The Blair Witch Project. Banfitch understands the form, Leslie Ann Banfitch gives the movie its heart and the sound work creates a few moments of real unease. The use of actual MiniDV and unpolished local performances gives the footage a credibility that far more expensive movies fail to find.
